This policy does not replace a client agreement, data processing agreement, Business Associate Agreement, or any separate notice provided for a particular service or recruiting process.
Information you provide
When you email us, book a conversation, or submit the contact form, we receive the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, work email address, company, area of interest, appointment details, and message.
If you contact us about a professional opportunity, we may also receive your résumé, work history, qualifications, location, availability, and other information you choose to share. We use this information to respond and discuss potential opportunities. Any additional collection for a formal recruiting, screening, or onboarding process will be addressed through the notices and permissions applicable to that process.
Please do not send patient information, account passwords, financial account details, government identification numbers, or confidential client materials through the website or an initial inquiry. Contact us first to arrange an appropriate channel.
Information collected when you visit
Our hosting and security providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, requested pages, request times, browser and device information, and security events.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand website traffic and Vercel Speed Insights to evaluate website performance. These services collect information such as page URLs, referring sites, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, and performance measurements. Vercel describes Web Analytics as using aggregated statistics without third-party analytics cookies, and Speed Insights as reporting performance without identifying individual visitors. These descriptions do not mean that hosting and security systems never process an IP address. See Vercel Web Analytics privacy information and Vercel Speed Insights privacy information.
The website’s contact-message text and conversation-brief text are not intentionally included in analytics events. Please avoid putting personal or confidential information into website addresses or link parameters.
The online contact form uses automated abuse-prevention checks. These checks may process technical browser and request information to help distinguish legitimate submissions from automated traffic.
Campaign measurement and browser storage
For selected campaigns, we measure article views, relevant link clicks, and contact submissions accepted by our email delivery service. These events include an event identifier and limited campaign information, such as the campaign, article, source, medium, and approved content label. The website's campaign-event payload does not include your name, email address, company, message text, or full browsing URL.
Campaign context is stored in the current tab's session storage and is valid for up to 30 minutes. This helps associate a visit with a later inquiry; it is not a persistent identifier for tracking a visitor across devices or browsers. A submission-related identifier also helps avoid counting the same accepted inquiry more than once. The services receiving these events may separately process technical request information.
Blocking browser storage may prevent campaign attribution from carrying between pages. The website remains usable when that storage is unavailable.
Your conversation brief
The optional conversation-brief tool prepares text in your browser. Preparing, copying, or saving a brief does not submit its contents to Northbeam Solutions. If you choose to open an email draft, your email application receives the text; Northbeam Solutions receives it only if you send the email. Ordinary page-usage and performance measurement still apply.
How we use information
We use information for the purposes relevant to your interaction with us:
- Responding to inquiries, arranging meetings, and evaluating potential engagements.
- Discussing professional opportunities when you contact us about them.
- Operating, securing, troubleshooting, and improving the website, and understanding which content and campaigns lead to inquiries.
- Keeping appropriate business records, meeting legal obligations, and protecting legal rights.
- Sending communications you request or that are otherwise permitted by applicable law.
You may ask us to stop promotional communications at any time. A request to stop marketing does not prevent necessary responses about an existing inquiry, engagement, or legal matter.
Who receives information
We use service providers to support website hosting, analytics, security, business email, scheduling, and campaign measurement. These include Vercel for website services, Google for Google Workspace email and Google Calendar scheduling, and Supabase for the application services that route contact messages and receive campaign events. Those services process information relevant to their functions, including contact details and message contents where necessary to deliver an inquiry. Delivery records and identifiers may be retained to check submission status and prevent duplicates.
Authorized personnel and contractors may access information when needed for their responsibilities. Professional advisors may receive information when necessary to advise us. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, or legal claims, or in connection with a business transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
If a recruiting process involves presenting your profile to a prospective client or employer, that use will be explained through the applicable recruiting process and notice.
Google Calendar and external links
Booking links take you to Google Calendar. Google processes information under the terms and privacy information applicable to that service; Northbeam Solutions receives the appointment information needed to arrange and conduct the conversation.
Other websites linked from this site have their own privacy practices. Review the notice on the service you visit, including Google’s Privacy Policy.
Data location and international access
Northbeam Solutions is based in the United States and works with global talent and service providers. Website and business-contact information may be processed in the United States and other countries in which authorized personnel or service providers operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those safeguards must be in place for the relevant processing.
This does not authorize unrestricted international access to client information. Data location, access, and transfer requirements for client engagements are addressed separately in the applicable agreements.
How long we retain information
Retention depends on the information and the reason it was collected. We consider the time needed to respond to your request, the status of any business or recruiting relationship, applicable legal and contractual requirements, and legitimate security or recordkeeping needs.
Website logs and analytics records follow the relevant service configurations. Retention for inquiry and recruiting records is determined separately from retention for regulated engagement records. You may contact us about retention or request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.
Security
Our information security policies address access control, data handling, workforce responsibilities, incident response, and AI use. Safeguards depend on the information, system, and engagement involved. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
The website is not a patient portal or an approved channel for exchanging protected health information.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information. You may also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, opt out of specified uses, appeal a decision, or complain to a privacy regulator.
Please submit your request through the contact form on our website. Please describe the request without sending sensitive identity documents. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Where Northbeam Solutions handles information on a client’s behalf, the client may be responsible for responding. We will route those requests as appropriate under the relevant agreement and law.
Browser privacy settings can limit some storage or tracking technologies. Settings and extensions do not necessarily prevent all technical information from being processed to deliver or secure the website.
Children
This website is intended for business and professional audiences, not children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. We will display the revised effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
